Greetings! I have the pleasure to inform, Jan 06 Rtn Treja & Rtn Vishwanath with a group of 8 Rotarians from Kennewick visited me & all enjoyed the most hot selling tour "GOLDEN TRIANGLE " ( Delhi/Agra/Jaipur).

            Don’t be disturbed.  We don’t want to borrow any money… and we have no favors to ask.  We just thought we would write and tell you that we think the both of you are two of the nicest Rotarians who ever drew a breath of air.  You are an asset to your club and a credit to  your district.  You’re the kind of Rotarians we like to be with because every time we’re around you, we feel inspired and motivated to do a better job for humanity.  We wish we could see you every day because you motivate us to be our best self.

            Thank you very much for helping us enjoy even more our “once-in-a-lifetime” vacations in India.  THE BOTH OF YOU MADE A REALLY BIG DIFFERENCE IN THIS ADVENTURE FOR US!!!  We are very proud of you.  You are very special to us.

         Look forward to seeing the both of you at our Rotary International Convention in Los Angeles, CA. because we have a friendship with the both of you that we value and want very much to keep.  We will be at the Rotarian Action Group for Blindness Prevention booth in the Hall of Friendship.

Dr. Otis Paul, member of San Francisco Rotary Club #2 (Rosey Wong's club) traveled to Calcutta, India as part of a Rotary and Orbis International volunteer trip from 19th to 23rd of December, 2007. He worked at the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology where he provided 45 consultations, and taught 20 surgical procedures. SFO #2 club donated a set of surgical instruments valued at $2500 and a set of loupes worth $250. The local Rotary Club helped with the donation.
 
Afterwards he went on a tour to Agra where he saw the construction of the new Rotary Eye Hospital. Dr. Paul thinks that will be a fantastic project and will help them in the future.

Henos Tours and Travels Service ( H Tour) started as a weekend organizer of get away trips for students in secondary schools and institution of higher learning in Nigeria and West Africa in 2001.

Over time we went into organizing customized guided tours to exotic leisure - oriented Holiday Resorts, national Parks, Waterfalls, Monument, Game Reserves, Museums, Zoos etc for Children, and Young People in Schools.

At Present we have grown into a full Tourist agency that package inbound and outbound Trips, Cruise, Vacation, Honeymoon, ecotourism, and cultural expeditions for individual and corporate clients.

Our focus is to be an agency with a world wide network of partners for packaging exception customized Cruise vacations and tours for the maximum satisfaction of our clients.

On the Rotary side we have been promoting and organising Rotaract Friendship Exchange among Districts and Countries for 2 years running.

Home Club: Rotary Club of Singapore

Jimmy believes in providing an enjoyable learning experience beyond the academic knowledge through educative travel programmes. Thus in 2004, he decided to set up his own travel company and became the founder and co-owner of ISE Travel Pte Ltd. He has been involved in planning, handling and managing educational tours since his university days. A graduate in engineering, he dwelled into the travel industry with great passion and devoted his energy and time climbing to the ranks of senior management level of some of Singapore’s reputable companies, building a vast experience bank as tour operator, MICE (meeting, incentive, convention and exhibition) specialist, tour wholesaler and retailer, e-travel distributor and CEO of travel alliances. In educational travel, Jimmy was founder of his alma mater’s Student Travel Service back in Nanyang Technological Institute (now known as NTU) in 1984 and personally organized numerous student tours. “I stumbled into the travel industry when I discovered that many travel programmes offered at that time lacked the intrinsic values beneficial to my fellow students back in NTI” reminisced Jimmy who believes in delighting a young person’s life long experience with memorable educational travel programme. In Rotary, he is past director of his club and has served as a 3-term District Interact Chairman as well as a member in the district committees of Rotaract, RYLA and RCC. He will be busy as the next Dist Rotary Youth Exchange Chairman for 2006/07.

I would like to share a service project that may be of interest to fellow Rtns in planning a service trip to Khao Lak, site of the recent tsunami disaster. Last year, I was honoured to organize 4 service trips from June - November 05 for our Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors and Rotary Volunteers from D3310 to the affected villages that were worst hit by the tsunami. If there is any Rotarian who is keen to organize a group to this area and would like to know what kind of programme or cost involved, I would be happy to work together with him/her. The learning experience is very enriching and with the network of local contacts that we have built up, I am sure any visitor to the area will gain a very enriching experience. Key highlights include the various Rotary projects that have been completed such as the computer centre and houses, as well as the various memorials that serve to remind us of the disaster of 26 Dec 2004. Attached are some pictures of the projects that have been set up at Khao Lak.

Rtn. Rosey Wong MCC has been a Rotarian since women were admitted to Rotary from the Legislative Meeting in Singapore in Feburary 1987. She is a member of San Francisco Rotary Club #2. She has been in the travel Industry since 1969 when she left her teaching career and joined Guthrie Boustead Travel in Singapore. She established Haw Par Travel in Singapore, Mollers Travel in Bangkok, Thailand and Innovative Travel Services in 1991 in California, USA.
